Salary Negotiation Training

Economic Security for All

In Arkansas, women with equitable experience make an average of 85% of what men do for the same position.

The gender pay gap is the gap between what men and women are paid. Most commonly, it refers to the median annual pay of all women who work full time and year-round, compared to the pay of a similar cohort of men.

At the current rate, the gender pay gap will not close until 2106. In 2018, AAUW announced our bold pledge to train 10 million women in salary negotiation by 2022. We will not wait for policies and employer culture alone to determine when we reach parity. We are working to empower women nation-wide with skills to effectively negotiate their salary and benefits and become agents of change in their communities.

AAUW Work Smart Online

AAUW Conway Branch is focusing on bringing the Work Smart online salary negotiation tool to Conway and Faulkner County. We’re passionate that when everyone knows what the fair salary for a position is, and that’s what’s being paid, then the pay gap will be eliminated.
